Silicon Sea

Evolving my Personal Brand

I have been working to make Silicon Sea my online home for the past couple months. I have been mulling over all the different ways that I want this site to work, what I want to be able to store and aggregate here. I have also started thinking about my own personal brand that I am creating, what does this mean and how I can effectively share a small piece of myself with the world. I of course will be working on this site, the interfaces, design and user interaction experiences as time allows, I really want to strive to display the high quality work that I am capable of creating. Alas!, I don't have unlimited time unfortunately and I can only work on this as time allows, so please bear with me.

My goal for Silicon Sea is for it to be headquarters for my own personal brand, my online home if you will. A place where I post articles, tutorials for various technology and techniques and my personal stream. The stream is my online presence aggregated into one place, into a timeline. I will be aggregating my streams of data from sites like: Twitter, Brightkite, Facebook, Flickr and my own blog posts. The stream is meant to be small snapshots in time, showing what I may have been doing or thinking in a concise manner.

My name is Bryan Rehbein, I'm a software developer, wannabe UX expert, UI wizard, coffee snob and beer connoisseur. I wrangle data, push pixels and whip scripts into shape. My dream is to see open source operating systems like BSD, Linux and OpenSolaris to become much easier to use; to lower the technical personnel requirements to run these servers. Please grab an excellent cup of coffee, prop up your feet on the desk and take a good look around here at the Silicon Sea.
